A Tribute to Harlem’s Cultural Legacy
Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the legendary Savoy Ballroom, a cornerstone of Harlem’s cultural and musical history. The Savoy Ballroom, known as the “Home of Happy Feet,” was more than a dance hall; it was a vibrant community hub from March 12, 1926, to July 10, 1958, uniting people through the universal joy of jazz and dance.
This unforgettable evening is not only a tribute to the history of the Savoy Ballroom with our 1st annual Spirit of the Savoy Awards, but also a fundraiser to support Harlem Swings Youth Dance Program and the Black Lindy Hoppers Fund—two initiatives that continue to honor and nurture the next generation of Harlem’s artists, dancers, and community leaders.
